Carved and hollowed from solid block of clay -'kurinuki'  technique.  Snow white shino glaze with applied texture and gentle copper blushing.

Wheel thrown lid black with metalic copper glaze. Handle carved from green plum wood then 

ebonised by scorching with a flame.

This piece was awarded a juried prize of 600 Euros at Oldenburger Keramiktage 2016 in August.
